The eye-of-terror :iconeye-of-terror: is hosting a vehicle painting contest, and I recently traded a dreadnought kit (I had an extra) for a Land Raider Heavy Support tank.

The contest began on April 1st, and the pictures of the completed piece have to be finished and uploaded by May 1st.

I'm doing it in my Royal Venom colors, so there's some greens, reds, and a TON of purple.
This is definately the largest thing I've worked on so far, so I was quite a bit intimidated by it. But so far it seems to be coming along nicely.

So far I've put about 5 hours of just painting time into it, and who knows how much in prep work (clipping, sanding, triming, etc).

As of this writing, I've got the interior completly painted, I've got the tank assembled, and I'm working on filling gaps in the armor with greenstuff (modeling putty). After that, I give it one more coat of prime, and then paint the outside.

Might I add that you work REAL fast for the quality of the stuff you put out.
It seems like only yesterday you had it unassembled and unpainted.

I hope it goes well; vehicles (especially large ones) can be VERY intimidating.
